The last song on my second CD "HOME", "La Casa", is the work of the great maestro Armando Manzanero.
In a conversation with a Spanish-speaking friend, I learned that Mr. Manzanero passed away last December. My deepest condolences.
The song by Mr. Manzanero that I first came across was "Esta tarde vi llover".
It was released in 1967 and has been covered by many international artists. It was chosen by Billboard magazine as one of the fifty best Latin songs from 1921 to 2015.
I have sung this song several times in live performances.
On December 29 at 8 pm, the day after his death, there was a memorial service in Mexico: "Open the windows and let's all sing Esta tarde vi llover".
I would like to dedicate this song to Mr. Manzanero from Japan as a token of my gratitude.
